Antarctica Vs. the World

Antarctica Vs. the World (also known as AVW) is a Horror Hardcore band from New Orleans. Following in a line of earlier horror punk bands like the Misfits, AVW added elements of hardcore and removed much of the 1950s doo-wop sound that so many other bands within the genre use. Much of what sets AVW apart from other bands of their ilk is the intensity of their live shows, the culmination of which is inevitably members of the band bleeding on stage.
