African Lion Safari

African Lion Safari is a safari park that is around 80 km west of Toronto. It features mostly lions, but is also home to giraffe, baboons, and bison. The location is near Cambridge, Ontario, north of Hamilton. It is Toronto's westernmost and nearest safari. The wildlife park is home to over 1,000 exotic birds and animals that roam freely in large, drive-through game reserves. Guests can drive through in their own vehicles or take an air conditioned, educationally guided tour on a Safari Tour Bus (for an additional cost). Guests can enjoy a variety of live shows (birds of prey, parrot, and elephant round up), Scenic Railway, Boat Cruise, elephant swim, Misumu Bay Wet Play and Jungle playground (at no additional cost). The park is open to the public starting late May, and Closes mid-October.

African Lion Safari was founded in 1969 by Colonel G.D. and Virginia Dailley.
