Ankleshwar or Anklesvar is a town in Gujarat state of India. The city is located approximately ten kilometers from Bharuch (Broach) in Bharuch District.

Economy
Ankleshwar has an industrial township called G.I.D.C. (Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation), which is the biggest industrial township in Asia. Ankleshwar also has a regional ofice for ONGC (oil and natural gas commission).
Today, Ankleshwar has over 100 big and small chemical plants. These chemical plants produce insecticides, speciality chemicals, and paint.
The pharmaceutical company Zydus Cadila has a plant to make active pharmaceutical ingredient in Ankleshwar.
Transport
Ankleshwar is well connected by Indian National Highway 8 (Mumbai to New Delhi) and by the Western Railway Division of Indian Railways.
The 125 year-old Golden Bridge connects Ankleshwar to Bharuch across the Narmada River.
There are many "Rickshaws"(3 wheelers) and jeeps in Ankleshwar. They are the means of transport for most of the people. Buses also serve Ankleshwar daily/frequently during the day to most of the cities.
Education
Among the schools, there is Shree Gattu Vidyalaya, Sanskar Deep, Gurukul, Lions School, Central Schools, UBM. There is Kadakya Commerce & Arts College. There is also Swami Vivekananda School- which serves as both primary and secondary schools (and is taught in English and Gujarati- the local dialectt). there is also a school C.M.Academy (chandra bala modi academy), which is a C.B.S.E school along with Central school (or Kendra Vidhyalay)
Shopping and Recreation
There are many parks and recreation centres in G.I.D.C area and small shops reflect the local culture. Hotels in Ankleshwar includes Sadanand, Shalimaar (a 3-4 star hotel), and other 2-3 star hotels.
Healthcare
Most of the clinics and hospitals are owned and operated by individual doctors and medical professionals. Pharmacies are also operated and run by individual people. Private hospitals are generally in good conditions and include modern technology. Hospitals include the Jayaben Modi Hosp. which is the biggest in Anskeshwar and has state-of-the art technology. The Sanjivanii Hospital is also large and one of the popular and is served by pediatricians and physicians. Others hospital include facilities of x-rays, sonography, and other necesities.
Languages
