BBC Radio Wiltshire is the BBC Local Radio service for the English county of Wiltshire, which began as BBC Wiltshire Sound on April 4 1989. It broadcasts from its studios in Swindon on 103.5 (Newton Barrow, near A360, 5 miles north-west of Salisbury), 104.3 (Naish Hill, near A342 4 miles west of Calne which is for west Wiltshire), 104.9 (Marlborough for east Wiltshire) FM; 1332 (Lacock, near A350, 4 miles south of Chippenham) and 1368 (Old Town, Swindon, near B4006) AM; DAB and via Real Player on the website. On November 11 2002, Swindon gained its own station, Radio Swindon, which shares some afternoon programmes (and a building) with Radio Wiltshire, which had a name change when Radio Swindon began. The early logo of the station featured the White Horse at Westbury.

The strongest signal is on 103.5FM around Salisbury, which can also be heard in south-west Hampshire around Winchester. Most of the frequencies cannot be heard outside of the county. Marlborough also carries GWR (Swindon) on 96.5FM. Naish Hill carries GWR on 102.2FM.

Geoff Barker presents the early morning show for both Wiltshire and Swindon from 5 - 7am. Sue Davies has the breakfast show from 7 - 10am, then Ronnie Barbour is from 10am - 1pm, at which point Swindon and Wiltshire join forces until 4pm. In the evening on weekdays from 7pm until 1am, all BBC local radio in the Points West news area, share the same programmes, with all BBC stations in the whole south-west sharing one programme from 10pm. Sunday has the excellent Sounds of Brass programme from 7 - 8pm which comes from Radio Devon in Plymouth.
