Trivia
This was Pearl Jam's first album with new drummer Matt Cameron, formerly of Soundgarden
Several tracks on the album were recorded using binaural recording techniques, hence the title. These can usually be identified by a warm sound to the music, such as in "Of The Girl".
One track, "Soon Forget," which is played solely on a ukulele, seems heavily influenced by the Who song "Blue, Red and Grey" (from The Who By Numbers LP).
The album contains a hidden track entitled "Writer's Block". It occurs several minutes after the last track "Parting Ways" has finished, and is the sound of the keys on Eddie's typewriter being aggressively hit.
