- The title track has been used in two North American TV series: the Canadian comedy-drama Due South and the American political drama The West Wing, at the end of Season two, episode 44. Both scenes were set during thunderstorms.
- "Brothers in Arms", the title track of this album, has also been used on the 25th episode of Miami Vice, called "Out where the buses don't run."
- "Brothers in Arms" was also used as background music during the 2001 movie Spy Game, starring Brad Pitt and Robert Redford. The song played during the scene in which Pitt's character gets off a train in Germany and meets Redford's character and his wife.
