Corinth is a village located in Saratoga County, New York, USA. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2,474. The village is named after a book in the Bible.

The Village of Corinth is by the east town line of the Town of Corinth. The community asserts that it is the "Snowshoe capital of the world."

The village was incorporated in 1888.

The village is next to the Hudson River.

Corinth is located at 43°14'37" North, 73°49'44" West (43.24375, -73.828944)Template:GR.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.9 km² (1.1 mi²). 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.60% water.

Demographics

As of the census Template:GR of 2000, there were 2,474 people, 1,024 households, and 653 families residing in the village. The population density was 892.7/km² (2,318.6/mi²). There were 1,144 housing units at an average density of 412.8/km² (1,072.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.10% White, 0.28% Black or African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.32% Asian, 0.24% Pacific Islander, 0.49% from other races, and 0.49% from two or more races. 1.17% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 1,024 households out of which 30.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.3% were married couples living together, 12.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.2% were non-families. 30.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.97.

In the village the population was spread out with 26.1% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 20.5% from 45 to 64, and 17.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 93.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.3 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $30,539, and the median income for a family was $39,205. Males had a median income of $31,481 versus $26,163 for females. The per capita income for the village was $16,134. 11.9% of the population and 6.6% of families were below the poverty line. 13.3% of those under the age of 18 and 8.8% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
