Earl of Shannon

The title of Earl of Shannon was created in the Peerage of Ireland in 1756. The Earl bears the subsidiary titles of Viscount Boyle of Bandon (1756) and Baron Castle Martyr (1756) in the Peerage of Ireland, and until 1999 sat in the House of Lords as Baron Carleton (1786) in the Peerage of Great Britain.
