Endergonic reaction

From Free net encyclopedia

An endergonic reaction is a chemical reaction in which the change in free energy is positive. An endergonic reaction is a reaction in which ΔG > 0 in Gibbs free energy, in contrast to an exothermic reaction, which uses ΔH as in enthalpy. Examples of endergonic reactions in cells include protein synthesis, nerve conduction, and muscle contraction.
