People's Movement against the EU

The People's Movement against the EU (Danish: Folkebevægelsen mod EU) is an anti-European Union political party in Denmark. Unlike some euro-sceptic organisations, their primary objective is to withdraw the country from EU and rejoin EFTA.
In the 2004 European Parliamentary Election it gained 5.2% of the national vote, electing one MEP (by gaining benefit from an electoral coalition with the June Movement). While claiming to be neutral on the traditional left/right-scale, a majority of its members are rather leftist. Its MEP, Ole Krarup, is a member of Enhedslisten and an associate member of the European United Left - Nordic Green Left group.
