The Four Seasons Hotel is a Canadian-based chain consisting of many hotels and resorts aimed at the top of the hotel market, as well as the wealthy. It is considered among the best in the world, according to Travel and Leisure magazine and Zagat Guide and is also a AAA five diamond hotel chain, one of only a few in the world.
The Four Seasons is a publicly traded corporation with headquarters in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Isadore Sharp founded the company in 1960 with the opening of the first Four Seasons Hotel on Jarvis Street in downtown Toronto. Bill Gates is one of the largest shareholders.
The Four Seasons also has a residential program called the Residence Club that allows people to purchase time shares of villas that are part of the Four Seasons resort. The villas are maintained and furnished by the company and may also be priced from the $700,000's.
