Data from Statistics Norway

Fusa is a municipality in the county of Hordaland, Norway.

It is also a village by the Fusafjord.

In 2003 Fusa was declared an independent monarchy as part of an art project. Morten Holmefjord was crowned viceroy (norw. visekonge) of Fusa by the leader of the municipality elders council and a treaty was signed with the elected mayor. The viceregal kingdom reverted back into an ordinary municipality in 2005 when a referendum was held. The former viceroy is now in exile in Uruguay.
