Gabon was represented at the 2004 Summer Olympics by the Gabon National Olympic Committee. Six athletes from the African natian competed in four sports in Athens, Greece. Gabon first competed in the Summer Olympics in 1972.

Athletics

Gabon sent two competitors to the Olympic Games in Athletics.

  • Marlyse Nsourou raced in the Women's 800 m. She set a National Record with a time of 2:12.35. She finished 7th in her heat and did not move on to the next round.

Boxing

Gabon sent two competitors to the Olympic Games in Boxing.

  • Petit Jesus Ngnitedem - Competed in the Bantenweight (54 kg) weight class. He was defeated by Nestor Bolum of Nigeria 17-23 in the first round of 32.
  • Taylor Mabika - Competed in the Light Heavyweight (81 kg) weight class. He was defeated by Elias Pavlidis of Greece 17-32, in the first round of 32.

Judo

Gabon sent one competitor to the Olympic Games in Judo.
