Galaxy 105

Galaxy 105 is the largest regional radio station outside of london and is owned by the Chrysalis Group as part of its Galaxy Network of stations specialising in dance music and R'n'B. It is based in Leeds. It started life under the name of Kiss 105, named after the successful London based Kiss 100. The studios are at Josephs Well near Park Lane in Leeds.
The strongest signal is on 105.8FM, which covers East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. The 105.1FM signal from Emley Moor, between Huddersfield and Barnsley which covers West Yorkshire, is reasonably powerful. The 105.6FM signal from Idle only covers the hilly areas of Bradford. There is a weak signal for Sheffield on 105.6FM, from Tapton Hill.
