Haran

Haran (הָרָן) was a son of Terah, and brother of Nahor and Abram. Genesis 11:29 records that Haran was the father of Lot, Milcah, and Iscah.

Haran was also an ancient rural locality situated near Ur. Abram lived in Haran for about 5 years before continuing on to Canaan. The place is now the city of Harran.
