The Stefan dynasty - House of Nemanjić was named after Stefan Nemanja. It was descended from the cadet line of the House of Vojislavljević. The house of Nemanjić gave eleven Serbian monarchs between 1166 and 1371.

The rulers wore the titles Grand Princes of Rascia since 1166. After the crowning in 1217, the full title of the dynasty was King of the land of Rascia, Doclea, Travunia, Dalmatia and Zachlumia. Althogh, a shorter version of the title was King of Serbs. Since the crowning for Emperor in 1346, the title was Tsar of All Serbs, Albanians, Greeks and Bulgarians.

The family crest was a bicephalic argent eagle on a red shield, inherited from the Byzantine Paleologus dynasty.

The House of Nemanjić ruled the Serb lands between ca. 1166 up to 1371.
