Wümme River

The Wümme is a river in northern Germany. It is a tributary of the Weser River.

It runs across northern Lower Saxony and the state of Bremen. It has 108 km in length.

The river's source is located on Mount Wilsede in Lüneburg Heath. West of Rotenburg, it takes up the rivers Rodau and Wiedau. Its main tributary is the Hamme. The last kilometers of its way the Wümme changes its name into "Lesum".
