List of presidents of the Czech Republic

Template:Politics of the Czech Republic Image:President-Czech Republic-Flag.png This is a list of presidents of the Czech Republic. The President is the head of state of the Czech Republic. Most of his powers are ceremonial. His strongest power is veto, he can return bill back to parliament. His veto can be overruled by parliament. He is elected by parliament for a five-year term, not more than twice in succession. If a new President has not been elected by the end of a President's term, some powers are moved to Prime Minister, some are moved to Head of the Chamber of Deputies.
- no president: 1 January 1993 – 2 February 1993 (some powers held by prime minister Václav Klaus and Milan Uhde)
- Václav Havel: 2 February 1993 – 2 February 2003
- no president: 2 February 2003 – 7 March 2003 (some powers held by Vladimír Špidla and Lubomír Zaorálek)
- Václav Klaus: since 7 March 2003
