Nes is a municipality in the county of Akershus, Norway.
800 farms make the area one of the largest producers of wheat in the country.
Nes includes many natural attractions, such as parts of the river Glomma, as well as 168 lakes. Elk, beaver, wolf and lynx can be found here. Hunting and sportfishing is carried on in a big scale.
An academy of artists is situated here. You will also find one of Norway's best preserved church ruins from 1100 AD, Nes kirkeruiner.
