Optimist International

Optimist International is a service club whose slogan is Bringing out the best in kids. The first Optimist club was founded in 1911 in Buffalo, New York and the International was founded in 1919 in a meeting in Louisville, Kentucky.

Image:Optimist-Logo.gif Although membership has been rapidly declining in the United States, the organization is expanding internationally. The organization currently has over 100,000 members in over 3,700 Optimist Clubs.
