Plovdiv Province

Plovdiv is an oblast, or province, of central Bulgaria, formerly part of Eastern Rumelia. It is primarily an agricultural area and contains one-seventh of all of Bulgaria's arable land. The capital of Plovdiv is the city of Plovdiv, but the region also contains 16 other municipalities: Asenovgrad, Karlovo, Maritsa, Rodopi, Hisarya, Bulgaria, Parvomay, Stamboliyski, Krichim, Perushtitsa, Sadovo, Laki, Rakovski, Brezovo, Saedinenie, Kaloyanovo and Kuklen.Template:Bulgaria-geo-stub Template:Bg-oblasts
Plovdiv is the third largest city in Bulgaria, according to the last headcount for Bulgaria. Sofia is first and Varna is second.
Plovdiv hosts an annual internationally renown fair. 'The Plovdiv Fair'.
