Preston is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Darebin.

The High Street area in Preston forms the central shopping district, with supermarkets, restaurants and cafes, bakeries, post office and council office facilities all nearby. The Preston Market is located in the same area. Macedonian, Indian, Turkish, and Chinese cuisines all feature on the main street. A regular bus service operates that travels to Coburg, Northcote, and the Northland shopping centre.

Preston's and the regions football (soccer) club is the Preston Lions FC, which is one of the biggest football (soccer) club in Victoria.

Preston has a strong Macedonian influence.

The Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE has its main campus on St Georges Road in Preston.
