Ruleville is a city located in Sunflower County, Mississippi. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 3,234.

Ruleville is located at 33°43'37" North, 90°32'57" West (33.726883, -90.549191)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.6 km² (2.5 mi²). 6.6 km² (2.5 mi²) of it is land and 0.39% is water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 3,234 people, 1,020 households, and 774 families residing in the city. The population density was 493.5/km² (1,278.3/mi²). There were 1,096 housing units at an average density of 167.3/km² (433.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 18.65% White, 80.77% African American, 0.06% Native American, 0.43% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.03% from other races, and 0.06% from two or more races. 0.87% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 1,020 households out of which 36.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 35.5% were married couples living together, 34.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.1% were non-families. 21.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.03 and the average family size was 3.55.
In the city the population was spread out with 31.3% under the age of 18, 11.2% from 18 to 24, 23.0% from 25 to 44, 19.2% from 45 to 64, and 15.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 31 years. For every 100 females there were 80.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 71.5 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $21,351, and the median income for a family was $23,036. Males had a median income of $25,104 versus $21,063 for females. The per capita income for the city was $11,664. 36.0% of the population and 29.5% of families were below the poverty line. 47.7% of those under the age of 18 and 27.4% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
