Simeon Eben Baldwin

Simeon Eben Baldwin (February 5, 1840January 30, 1927) was a governor of the U.S. state of Connecticut.

He was born in New Haven, Connecticut, attended Hopkins School and graduate from Yale College, where he was a member of Skull & Bones. He became a lawyer active in Democratic Party politics. He was justice of Connecticut state supreme court, 1897-1907, chief justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court, 1907-10, Governor of Connecticut, 1911-15 and a candidate for United States Senator from Connecticut, 1914. He died in New Haven, Connecticut, and is interred at Grove Street Cemetery.

He was the son of Roger Sherman Baldwin, and the great-grandson of Roger Sherman as well as Simeon Baldwin,
