Kui

In Maori Mythology, Kui was the wife of Tupu-tupu-whenua. They lived below the ground and when a new house is built, a tuft of grass is offered to them.
Kui is alos the name of the father of Vahi-vero and the grand-father of Rata in Tuamotua.
