Survivor: Borneo was the first installment of the popular United States reality show Survivor. It was originally broadcast under the name Survivor but was later referred to as Survivor: Borneo, Survivor I, or Survivor: Pulau Tiga to distinguish it from subsequent installments of the series. Its official title now is Survivor: Borneo. It is notable that this was the only season in which the final jury votes were revealed immediately after being cast, while still in the Tribal Council setting, rather than in front of a live audience.
The show was filmed during 2000 and aired later that year on CBS (the only Season to air on Wednesday nights.) It was set on the island of Pulau Tiga in the state of Sabah, off the coast of Borneo, Malaysia. The two initial tribes were Pagong and Tagi. As the table below shows, after the merge, all of the remaining Pagong contestants were eliminated before the Tagi tribe began, by necessity, to turn on itself. Thus, in Survivor fandom the term "Pagonging" has been used to describe the same pattern.
The show was a phenomenal success and led to several subsequent series and a number of other reality shows. The entire season was released on DVD on May 11 2004.

Elimination notes
- Sonja Christopher - Stumbled in the immunity challenge, and was the oldest and weakest Tagi member. Sue broke the women's alliance to help vote Sonja out 4-3-1.
- B.B. Andersen - Cantankerous B.B. clashed with younger tribemates and asked to be voted out the first time they lost an immunity challenge. (voted out 6-2)
- Stacey Stillman - Her tribemates viewed her as prissy and the weakest physical player. She claimed producers forced two of her tribemates to vote against her, but the allegations were settled out of court. (voted out 5-2)
- Ramona Gray - Ramona was weak and sick for most of her time in camp. By the time she began to recover, it was too late to establish herself with Pagong. (voted out 4-2-1)
- Dirk Been - Tribemates were concerned about his increasingly gaunt frame. He was also a victim of the new alliance between Richard, Sue, Kelly and Rudy. (voted out 4-1-1)
- Joel Klug - Some of his teammates felt he was sexist, and were also alienated when he suggested their team vote in an alliance after the merge. (voted out 4-2)
- Gretchen Cordy - After the merge, Tagi targeted Gretchen due to her being Pagong's leader. Although the teams were evenly divided, Pagong's votes were scattered, and 4 Tagi votes were enough to eliminate Gretchen. (voted out 4-1-1-1-1-1-1)
- Greg Buis - Targeted by the Tagi alliance due to his physical strength and manipulative personality. (voted out 6-3)
- Jenna Lewis - Tagi alliance considered her too talkative and irritating. (voted out 4-3-1)
- Gervase Peterson - One of the last remaining members of Pagong, Gervase was eliminated because he was a stronger physical threat than the other Pagong, Colleen. (voted out 5-2)
- Colleen Haskell - The Tagi alliance had split with Kelly, but Kelly won immunity, thus ensuring Colleen was voted out 4-2.
- Sean Kenniff - Another immunity victory by Kelly led to his 4-1 departure.
- Sue Hawk - Kelly won immunity again. At final 4, Kelly and Sue voted for Richard and Richard and Rudy voted for Sue. Jeff made them vote again, and Kelly changed her vote to Sue.
- Rudy Boesch - Kelly won the final immunity challenge and thought Rudy was likely to beat her in the final vote.
- Kelly Wiglesworth - defeated 4-3 in the final vote. Obtained the votes of Colleen, Gervase and Jenna.
- Richard Hatch - Sole survivor. Obtained the votes of Sue, Rudy, Sean and Greg.
