Svefn-g-englar

Svefn-G-Englar was a 1999 single off Icelandic musical band Sigur Rós's third album, Ágætis Byrjun, featuring two studio recordings — "Svefn-G-Englar" (Icelandic play on words "sleepwalkers" or "Sleep-G-Angels") and "Viðrar Vel til Loftárása" ("nice weather for an airstrike"), both from Ágætis Byrjun — and two songs recorded live at the Icelandic Opera House in Reykjavík — "Nýja Lagið" ("new song"), which has not yet been recorded in studio, and "Syndir Guðs" ("God's sins"), from the group's first LP, Von.

This single was originally released by Pias recording company in 1999 and distributed only in Iceland, but was reissued by Fat Cat Records in 2001 and distributed in the United Kingdom.

The single is available both on compact disc and 12 inch vinyl, with somewhat different selections of tracks.

It is also featured in the Vanilla Sky Soundtrack
