Texarkana

Texarkana is the name of two U.S. cities which are twin cities:
The name is a portmanteau of Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
Texarkana is also the name of a fictional post-apocalyptic city, located in the vicinity of the above-named, from Walter Miller's A Canticle for Leibowitz. Texarkana becomes the center for the Texark Empire, which eventually comes to dominate the Western Hemisphere.
Texarkana, Arkansas is also mentioned in the film Boggy Creek II: The Legend Continues. The film was saterized by Sci-Fi television series Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Additionally, Texarkana is the title of an R.E.M. song from the group's 1991 album Out of Time, notable because it features Mike Mills on lead vocals.
