The Linux Router Project
From Free net encyclopedia
The Linux Router Project has been defunct since June 22, 2003, according to a posting by its chief developer, Dave Cinege. For most users, it has been supplanted by its main fork, the LEAF Project.
LRP began as a "linux-on-a-floppy" distribution. Using hardware that would be generally considered too old or slow for desktop use, this project allows the creation of powerful router functionality from read-only media that can easily be rebooted should its veracity be in doubt. The original distribution was based on the Debian Linux distribution.
