The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is the debut solo album by Lauryn Hill of the recently reunited Fugees. Released 25 August, 1998), the album swept the Grammy Awards, setting new records for black women, female hip-hop artists and women in general. The album includes collaborations with soul singer D'Angelo ("Nothing Even Matters"), guitarist Carlos Santana and Mary J. Blige ("I Used to Love Him"). John Legend also played the piano on "Everything is Everything".

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill received five Grammy Awards, including 'Best Album' and 'Best R&B Album', setting a new record of the most grammy's ever won by a female artist. In 2003 the TV network VH1 named it the 37th greatest album of all time. Template:RS500
