To the Faithful Departed
From Free net encyclopedia
To the Faithful Departed (TTFD) is an album released by The Cranberries in 1996. This album was made in memory of Danny Cordell (a friend of the band) and Joe (vocalist Dolores O'Riordan's grandfather), who had both died that year. All lyrics are by Dolores O'Riordan, and all music is by O'Riordan except tracks 2, 8, 9, and 12, which are by O'Riordan and Neil Hogan. The album was re-released in 2002 with bonus tracks. One of these, "Ave Maria," a duet with Luciano Pavarotti, peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.
