Victor Amadeus III of Sardinia

Image:VictorAmadeusIII.jpg Victor Amadeus III (Vittorio Amedeo III in Italian b. June 26 1726 d. October 16 1796) was the Duke of Savoy from 1773 to 1796 (see below for all titles.)
He was a son of Charles Emmanuel III of Sardinia and his second wife Polixena Christina of Hesse-Rheinfels.

- VITTORIO AMEDEO III, per la grazia di Dio Re di Sardegna, Cipro e Gerusalemme; Duca di Savoja, Monferrato, Chablais, Aosta, e Genevese; Principe di Piemonte ed Oneglia; Marchese d'Italia Saluzzo, Susa, Ivrea, Ceva, Maro, Oristano, Sezana; Conte di Moriana, Geneva, Nizza, Tenda, Asti, Alessandria, Goceano; Barone di Vaud e di Faucigny; Signore di Vercelli, Pinerolo, Tarantasia, Lumellino, Val di Sesia; Principe e Vicario perpetuo del Sacro Romano Imperio in Italia.
He married Maria Antonietta of Bourbon (b.1729-d.1785), youngest daughter of Philip V of Spain and Elizabeth Farnese. They had twelve children including:
- Carlo Emanuele IV (b.1751-d.1819)
- Marie Elizabeth Charlotte, (b.1752-d.1753)
- Marie Josephine Louise 1753-1810, married Louis XVIII of France
- Amedeus Alexander, Duke of Montferrat. (b.1754-d.1755)
- Marie Therese (1756-1805), married Charles X of France
- Marie Anne (b.1757-d.1824), married her uncle Benedetto, Prince of Savoy, Duke of Chablais (b.1741-d.1808).
- Vittorio Emanuele I(b.1759-d.1824)
- Marie Christine Josephine (b.1760-d.1768)
- Maurizio Giuseppe Maria, Duke of Montferrat, (b.1762-b.1799) unmarried.
- Marie Caroline Antoniette (b.1764-d.1782) married Anton, later king of Saxony.
- Carlo Felice (b.1765-d.1831)
- Giuseppe Benedetto (b.1766-d.1802), Count of Moriana (-1796), and Asti (1796-1802).
