The wheel of time or wheel of history is a concept in several religions and philosophies, notably dharmic religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism, which regard time as cyclical and consisting of repeating ages.

The Wheel of time or Kalachakra is a Tantric deity that is also associated with Tibetan Tantric Buddhism, which encompasses four main schools and traditions which are Sakya, Nyingma, Kagyu and Gelug.

The Kalachakra is prophecied to bring about a cosmic challenge to the world within which (spiritual) conflict an Armageddon-style war will be waged which will see the advent of a new realm named Shambala and the coming of a messianical king of the kingdom.
