Krasnystaw is a town in eastern Poland with 20,600 inhabitants (1995).
Situated in the Lublin Voivodship (since 1999), previously in Chelm Voivodship (1975-1998).
The city is famous for its beer festival called Chmielaki (in Polish chmiel means hop).
