A shroud is typically something, usually a cloth, that covers or protects some other object. The term is most often used in reference to burial sheets, such as the famous Shroud of Turin, but also has other specific meanings such as:
- the heat shield of a space capsule
- a sailboat shroud, a rope that gives support to the masts in sailing ships.
The Shroud is a Marvel Comics superhero.
