- Weichsel is the German and Scandinavian name of the river Vistula (Polish Wisla) that passes Kraków and Warsaw in Poland, and once constituted the ancient Amber Road via Dniepr connected with the Silk Road
- Weichsel glaciation refers to the Baltic–Scandinavian ice age that in English is better known as the Wisconsin glaciation
