Gokasho (五個荘町; -cho) was a town located in Kanzaki District, Shiga, Japan. On Feb. 11, 2005, it merged with Yokaichi city and Eigenji, Aito, and Koto towns to form a new city called Higashi Omi.
In 2003, the town had an estimated population of 11,984 and a density of 736.12 persons per km⊃. The total area was 16.28 km².Template:Shiga-geo-stub ja:五個荘町
