Image:NHL Network.gifNHL Network is a Canadian category 2 digital cable television channel devoted to hockey from the past and the present. Its main focus is on the National Hockey League and their games, but it also airs games from other leagues, such as minor league and international hockey as well to fill its schedule. The channel is owned by the National Hockey League and Bell Globemedia.

As a result of the agreement between the NHL and U.S. cable company Comcast that places NHL games on their OLN network, an American version of NHL Network should be available in the United States beginning with the 2006-07 NHL season. It is unknown if the U.S. version of NHL Network will be a straightforward simuelcast or have its own programming with emphasis on U.S.-based NHL teams. [1] <P> Each evening, during the regular season, the channel broadcasts their flagship show called NHL On The Fly, featuring instant updates and live segments of games in progress. During the summer off-season, NHL Network takes a weekly look at each Canadian NHL team.
