The Alstroemeriaceae are a family of flowering plants, with 200 species in four genera. The Alstromeriaceae are endemic to the Neotropical ecozone, from Central America to southern South America. Alstroemeria is commonly called the "Peruvian Lily", and is a popular cut and garden flower. Bomarea is a vine that produces clusters of red, bell-shaped flowers.
