ìThe Eastern Counties League is an English football league at step 5 (level 9 overall) of the National League System. It is a feeder to the Southern League Division One East. It has two divisions - the Eastern Counties Football League Premier Division, and the Eastern Counties Football League Division One: Champions for the last 4 seasons have been A.F.C. Sudbury.
Due to a sponsorship contract as the league is currently known as the Ridgeons Football League. Prior to the 2004-05 season, again because of sponsorship, it was the Jewson Foootball League.
