Plutography is a word coined by Tom Wolfe to categorize books and other media that describe the lives of rich and famous people, often uncritically. Perhaps the most famous example of plutographic media is Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, hosted by Robin Leach. Livin' Large, MTV Cribs, and The Fabulous Life Of constitute a new generation of plutographic television. Magazines such as Robb Report and Millionaire are also well-known plutographic media.
