Leisnig is a small town in the district of Döbeln, federal state of Saxony in Germany. Its population is 7,050 (as at 30 April 2005). A settlement in this location was first mentioned in 1046. The town features Mildenstein Castle which is over 1000 years old.

Leisnig was Friedrich Olbricht's birthplace. In 1944, he was involved in the July 20 Plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, and was executed for his part in it.
