Leslie Stuart (15 March 1863–27 March 1928) was an English composer of early musical theatre, best known for the hit show Florodora (1899).
Born in Southport as Thomas Augustine Barrett, whilst working as organist at Salford Cathedral, he composed 'minstrel' songs under the pseudonyms "Lester Barrett" and, most notably, "Leslie Stuart". His many popular songs with the performer Eugene Stratton include Lily of Laguna and Little Dolly Daydream. He also wrote the song Soldiers of the King.
He was the subject of a 1940 biopic entitled You Will Remember, directed by Jack Raymond and starring Robert Morley in the Leslie Stuart role.
