Goshinki (悟心鬼, ごしんき, "mind-perceiving oni") is a character in the anime and manga series InuYasha.
History
The third detachment of Naraku, Goshinki is a large horned ogre-like oni (devil) with the ability to read minds. He is extremely agile, very powerful, and has teeth so strong that they ultimately broke the Tessaiga, which ended up being his own undoing.
Goshinki's task was to slaughter an entire village to lure the badly wounded InuYasha there. Using his ability to read minds, he countered InuYasha's every attack, eventually seizing the Tessaiga in his fangs and shattering it into pieces. Though near death, the absence of the Tessaiga allowed InuYasha's yōkai blood to take over, rendering Goshinki unable to read InuYasha's mind and allowing him to be easily slaughtered.
In a later chapter, InuYasha's half-brother Sesshōmaru has an evil sword named Tōkijin crafted by Kaijinbō from Goshinki's fangs.
