In computing, Trusted Solaris is a security-evaluated operating system based on Solaris by Sun Microsystems and on Mandatory Access Control model.
Parts of Trusted Solaris:
- Accounting.
- Role Based Access Control.
- Auditing.
Parts of Trusted Solaris have been merged with Solaris 10. The rest will be available as an addon called Trusted Extensions rather than a separate operating system. Trusted Extensions will share a kernel with Solaris 10.
