The Minotaur class of light cruisers of the Royal Navy originally consisted of eight ships, laid down in 1943. The end of World War II meant that only three were completed, Minotaur, Swiftsure, and Superb while the others were laid up. Minotaur was transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy and renamed Ontario.

Three of the uncompleted ships, Blake, Lion, and Tiger were converted in the late 1950s to guided missile cruisers; this group became the Tiger class.

The remaining ships, Hawke and Bellerophon, were broken up on the slipway.

The class is also known as the Swiftsure class.
