Hyperpolarization has several meanings:
- In biology, hyperpolarization (biology) occurs when the strength of the electric field across the width of a cell membrane increases.
- In physics, hyperpolarization (physics) is the selective polarization of nuclear spin in atoms far beyond normal thermal equilibrium.
