- in Greek mythology, one of the Heliades, daughters of Helios, the sun god.
- a nun living in the late fourth century, also known as Etheria, Eucheria, or Egeria. She is known for having gone on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, and wrote an account of her travels called the Peregrinatio Ætheriæ.
