Kinfolk are a group of characters in the World of Darkness fictional universe produced by White Wolf Game Studio. Kinfolk: Unsung Heroes is a supplement to the role-playing game Werewolf: The Apocalypse. Although the World of Darkness series sets its fiction in a version of the real world with mention of well-known real people, places, and groups, kinfolk are entirely fictional.

The Werewolf: the Apocalypse game is, not unexpectedly, based around werewolves, their allies and their foes. According to the rules of the game system, werewolves (or, as they call themselves, Garou) cannot breed with other werewolves without procuding the reviled metis. The perpetuation of the Garou hinges on their kinfolk, which may be either human or true wolf. Kinfolk are blood relatives of Garou who did not themselves undergo the Change (the initial process of discovering their werewolf nature). In game terms they have no rage (a measure of emotion), but very, very rarely, they may have gnosis (a measure of spirituality).

Kinfolk are normal in every way with two notable exceptions: they do not suffer the complete effects of the Delirium (a process whereby normal humans are terrified into flight or witless cowering by Garou taking on their obviously werewolf form); and when they breed with Garou, there is a chance that their offspring may be Garou too. According to the mechanics of the game, there is 10% chance that a Garou and kinfolk pairing will produce Garou, and a 90% chance that the same pairing will result in kinfolk.

Because they do not have rage, the Garou often ask their kinfolk to act as mediators between themselves and human society.
