Rabbi Abraham Bing was born in Frankfurt in 1752. From 1769 to 1778, he served as "Klaus" Rabbi of Offenbach. His other positions were:

In 1813, Bing was instrumental in re-settling Jews in Würzburg, where they had been banned for 250 years.

Bing's students included Jacob Ettlinger, Nathan Marcus Adler, Isaac Bernays, and Sligmann Bar Bamberger.

Rabbi Abraham Bing died in Würzberg in 1841.
